Pioneer Park
Camping is open and done on a first come first served basis. Park Caretakers are in the Park from Memorial Day to Labor Day to assist. Camping is allowed Thursday through Sunday and during holidays.
Brownsville's Pioneer Park has been in use since the 1840's. The park has been expanded and updated through the years to better serve the public. Pioneer Park is a beautiful 26-acre park, bordered on two sides by the Calapooia River, with ball fields, basketball courts, horseshoe pits, a covered dining pavilion with kitchen, summer swimming, a covered amphitheatre with seating for 400 people and many other features which make the park popular with residents and a favorite destination for many in the surrounding area. During the summer, a limited amount of overnight camping is available. Camping is available Thursday through Sunday only. Camping is also allowed around holidays such as the Fourth of July. There is a limited amount of camping available on a first-come, first served bases. Cost is $15 per night for RVs and $10 per night per tent. Restrooms are available, but no showers or hookups.
