Brownsville Community Library presents Australia's Wild Side by travel photographer Don Lyon. Lyon, who has explored more than 100 countries and considers Australia a naturalist's paradise and says he often feels "present at the creation" when traveling in the outback, "down under." Every plant, every animal has an unusual story of survival and adaptation to tell. Birds and animals are quite approachable, and the landscape is pristine and beautiful.

The Advance Directive is a set of instructions that expresses a person’s health care wishes if they were ever in the hospital and unable to speak for themselves. The Advance Directive tells the medical team who can speak for the patient and what the patient’s medical wishes are. While this document can feel overwhelming, these classes will attempt to make the confusing feel more understandable.
