MEMBER NEEDED FOR THE LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY & POLICY COMMITTEE

            The City is seeking a member for the Brownsville Legislative Advocacy & Policy Committee (LAPC). The LAPC meets on an as needed basis and advises Council on policy positions. Members may also be asked to testify at the State Legislature, provide written testimony, or other administerial function as directed by the Administrator and Council. Any resident of Brownsville interested in serving on the LACP should complete the Boards & Committees Application found on the City website at https://www.ci.brownsville.or.us/bc/page/boards-committee-application by Thursday, February 20th, 2025, by 4:00 p.m. P.S.T. MEMBER NEEDED FOR BROWNSVILLE BUDGET COMMITTEE

             The City would like to fill two openings on the Budget Committee. The Committee consists of all seven Council members and seven citizens. Members serve a three- year term. Deliberations are set to begin April 24th, 2025 to plan for the upcoming fiscal year. The Committee will meet on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. for no more than  three weeks. (The Budget Committee has completed the entire process in one evening the last few years.) Any resident of Brownsville interested in serving should submit a complete and submit the Boards & Committees application to City Hall by Thursday, February 20th, 2025 by 4:00 p.m. PST.
