Friday is collection day. Please place cart to the curb by 6:00am. Residents can choose from a 20-gallon can, 35-gallon cart or a 95-gallon cart size. Please call Sweet Home Sanitation for pricing and information on both types of carts.
YARD
DEBRIS
Collected on an Every Other Week Schedule on the same day as your refuse pick-up except for November and May when pick ups are weekly. In your gray cart you can place lawn clippings, leaves, brush, trimmings and prunings. Please don’t place any dirt, gravel, metal, trash or concrete in these carts. All items must be placed in the cart. Please call Sweet Home Sanitation to receive a collection schedule brochure on this program.
RECYCLING
 Collected on an Every Other Week Schedule on the same day as your refuse pick-up. The Commingle Cart Recycling Program offers residents an easy solution to recycling. You can place newspapers, magazines, aluminum, plastics (tubs & bottles only) junk mail and cardboard in your tan recycle cart. Please don’t throw any trash or glass in your tan cart. All items must be placed in the cart. Please place your glass in the provided glass bin. Place the glass bin out on the same day as your recycle cart. Please call Sweet Home Sanitation to receive a collection and recycling brochure.
DROP BOX
SERVICE
Sweet Home Sanitation offers a full line of roll off boxes for the contractor or home clean-up project.You can choose from a 20yd, 30yd or 40yd drop boxes.
COMMERCIAL SERVICE

FREE CITY
CLEANUP
One day a year Sweet Home Sanitation provides a free city wide clean-up day for the residents of Brownsville. This event is usually scheduled in April. Residents can dispose of metal, appliances, wood, yard debris and other types of clean-up materials. No household trash accepted at this event. Please watch for the dates of our clean up. You can call Sweet Home Sanitation or City Hallif you have any questions about this event. No refuse from outside City Limits allowed.
TRANSFER STATION
 There is a transfer station that is open Tuesday – Saturday; 10:00am to 4:30pm located at 1325 18th Ave, Sweet Home. This transfer station accepts all trash and recycling items. No Household Hazardous waste is accepted at this time. Please call Sweet Home Sanitation for information on acceptable items and pricing information.
